Poured-in-Place Rubber Playground Surface: A Durable and Safe Playground Solution
Our playground rubber granules wet pour rubber flooring is the perfect solution for creating safe, durable, and visually appealing play areas. This high-quality flooring is made from premium rubber granules which can ensure a soft and cushioned surface that minimizes the risk of injuries from falls.
This poured-in-place rubber surfacing is a cost-effective option that is a popular choice for play areas and is designed to meet modern playground safety standards. The seamless surface combines durability, accessibility, and vibrant design options, making it perfect for parks, schools, and high-traffic areas.
Poured-in-place rubber surfacing (PIP) offers the same benefits as traditional rubber playground tiles while eliminating the gaps and seams that are often seen in other playground surfacing options. Here’s why it’s an ideal solution for your next project:
- Safety First: This rubber playground surface cushion falls with its shock-absorbing layers and reduces the risks of injuries. Its soft yet durable design ensures kids can play freely while staying protected.
- Highly Customizable: With colored rubber granules, PIP surfacing can be tailored to fit your play area’s shape and design. Whether you prefer bright, engaging patterns or natural tones, it offers limitless possibilities.
- Durability for High-Traffic Areas: This type of surface is perfect for parks, schoolyards, and other high-traffic areas because it's engineered for durability. It also withstands wear and tear from active use while maintaining its attractive appearance over time.
- Low Maintenance: Unlike loose-fill materials like rubber mulch, wood chips, or sand, PIP surfacing doesn’t need constant replenishment or raking. It’s easy to clean and retains its form for years which saves both time and money.
Built to Perform Surface Materials
Our poured-in-place rubber flooring is crafted from a two-layer system for optimal performance. The bottom layer consists of bulk rubber scraps, providing a thick cushion to absorb impact and reduce fall-related injuries. The top layer is made from high-quality EPDM granules and bound with polyurethane which delivers a seamless, durable, and visually appealing finish.
This rubber surfacing is an excellent choice for various applications, including:
Benefits of Poured-in-Place Rubber
- Safety and Accessibility: This surface is fully ADA-compliant which ensures accessibility for all children, including those using wheelchairs. It meets strict playground safety requirements, providing peace of mind to parents and facility managers.
- Cost Savings: While the installation cost varies based on the size and depth of the play area and coverage, PIP surfacing offers long-term savings by eliminating the need for regular maintenance and replenishment of loose-fill materials.
- Environmentally Friendly Options: Many PIP systems are made using recycled rubber which offers an eco-friendly solution without compromising quality.
- Custom Design Potential: Whether you’re planning a creative design with bright colors or a more natural look to complement synthetic turf or natural grass, PIP surfacing can be tailored to match your playground equipment and vision.
Seamless and Stylish Playground Flooring
One of the standout features of poured-in-place rubber is its seamless design. Unlike rubber tiles or other segmented options, this surface eliminates gaps, creating a continuous look that enhances the aesthetic appeal of play areas. It’s particularly effective in highly customizable spaces, where irregular shapes or unique designs might pose a challenge for traditional materials.

Hi Thadd,
Yes, we can sell it to individuals but we highly do not recommend doing your own installation because the poured-in-place rubber needs to be installed under very specific conditions. If we do not install it, then it voids any warranties. The Answer from Ben Thompson - October 11, 2024 - September 12, 2024 - July 16, 2024 - May 10, 2024 - July 11, 2023
