The Maximum Series Chain Climber presents a novel way for children to climb to a higher deck as opposed to the regular rung ladders they encounter on playground equipment. On this climber, rungs are suspended on a series of chains that connect them from a top bar to the bottom. Once installed, the Maximum Series Chain Climber gives children a challenge because the rungs they step on will move slightly with the chains which creates a wobbling sensation. This challenges their sense of balance and causes them to grip on to the chains or rungs to make their way up. If the bottom bar is positioned close to the apparatus the chains will be looser and allow for a greater range of movement, but if it is installed at a distance the chains will be taut. All of the metal surfaces on this component have been powder coated so that they are resistant to rain and moisture which will keep it in top condition for years to come.
